Chelmer's heating and hot water solutions have been designed to be easy to install and include full system layout and wiring diagrams for the system and step-by-step installation manuals. We also offer free technical support to installers by telephone and email should any unexpected queries arise on-site.
As a design and supply company, Chelmer have a list of recommended installers who have installed our systems in the past and have attended one of our installer training courses. We are happy to supply details of recommended local installers in our free system quotations.
All our heat pump, biomass and solar thermal systems are MCS approved for UK Government grant schemes such as the Renewable Heat Incentive and Renewable Heat Premium Payment. In order to benefit from these schemes the solar thermal system must also be installed by an MCS accredited installer.
In order to comply with regulations, all of our thermal store and unvented cylinders must be installed and serviced by a qualified heating engineer who holds Unvented Hot Water certification.
Please note that Building regulations (Part P) stipulate that a qualified electrician is required to carry out and sign-off any electrical work in a domestic property, this includes heating system control and power connections.
Gas Safe and OFTEC
In line with government safety regulations, all gas appliances must be installed by a Gas Safe registered engineer and all oil fired boilers must be installed by an OFTEC registered engineer.
