Underfloor Heating
Underfloor heating is fast becoming the most popular form of heating. The lower temperature of underfloor heating results in a gentle, even heat which is both more economical to run and more comfortable to live in. Also, the unobtrusive nature of underfloor heating provides greater flexibility to position plants and furniture.
Typically the annual running cost of a correctly designed underfloor heating system is up to 30% less than a conventional radiator system. However, the whole system must be correctly designed to suit the building and heat sources in order for this efficiency to realised.
Underfloor heating can be installed in various types of floor construction relatively easily and most floor coverings are compatible. The pipe we employ is a high quality multi-layer pipe with a layer of aluminium to prevent oxygen ingress. The aluminium layer also adds the extra rigidity required to ensure the pipe retains its shape once bent; greatly aiding installation. To control the system we offer the choice of traditional dial-type thermostats for simplicity or fully-programmable digital thermostats for optimum efficiency.

Kits
Chelmer’s Small Area Kits are designed to provide the warmth and comfort of underfloor heating to extensions and conservatories. Through choosing underfloor heating you also negate the need for additional radiators which means you can make more efficient use of available space. Control Systems

Manifolds
chelmer's underfloor heating systems are fully zoneable, We do this using manifolds as the central distribution point for each loop.
The flow and return from each loop is passed through the manifold and back to the heat source of the system.
